Welcome to my simple little place for radio scanner and amateur radio stuff. People call me Michael or Doc (because my initials are MD) and KC5GFD is my call sign created back when there was a Tech No-Code license (Now just Tech). I pretty much love all things churchy, family, techy, weathery, and fishy. I may be a former Navy Sailor and didn’t have the greatest mouth on me but now I have a gutter mouth. Well not a gutter mouth per se but a gutter antenna called an HOA Buster from Alpha Antenna! Howdy y’all from Arkansas. Another something techy that I am really getting into… yep, I’m baking up some ideas on how I can use a Rasberry Pi in my Radio projects and beyond. SDR looks to be another interesting geeky path to take for me and I’m diving in with no holes barred. Computers and radio programming for listening with some transmitting options too… WOW!!! Let’s do this! Personal weather stations are a great way to stay informed of exact weather conditions at your location and also automation for your home or business. Scanning can be informative, a source of emergency information, and even entertaining. Uniden has some really good scanners to choose from. Amateur radio has always been an interest. It is definitely about location, location, location. Now that I’m in a better location, it time to TX/RX. I’ll see you on the net… 73’s.

Gutter Talk – Rain Gutter Antenna
Rasberry Pi… YUM!
How far with SDR?
Weather or not here I come…
I like to scan when I can…
Getting back to it…
